What is Control Plan?

The Control Plan contains an overall concept that controls the entire internal manufacturing process from receipt of goods to delivery. In addition to all manufacturing processes for each component, the expected test process (including product and process functions) can also be used to visualize the manufacturing infrastructure (machines, equipment, tools) used for this purpose.

If a product consists of several parts (subcomponents), the Control Plan must also be created for all levels down to the material used for the delivered product. There must be tests, test intervals and the scope of tests required for prototypes, pre-series and series. In addition, qualification tests (e.g. corrosion tests, life tests, cleanliness requirements, requalification, etc.) must be recorded and verified in the Control Plan as proof of function.
